I’m supporting Breast Cancer Now’s ‘Wear it Pink’ campaign ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.

Wear it Pink Day -; which falls on the 20th October this year -; is one of the country’s biggest fundraising events, with people encouraged to wear pink in their communities, schools and work places to promote awareness of breast cancer. Since its inception in 2002, Wear it Pink has raised over £30million to fund life-saving breast cancer research.

Each year over 50,000 women across the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer. The research undertaken by charities like Breast Cancer Now is vital in helping us discover how to prevent breast cancer, detect it earlier, and treat it effectively at every stage to prevent the disease taking more lives. Wear it Pink Day is an important way of generating awareness and raising funds for the research being undertaken.
