Last Saturday I joined the annual remembrance service for all those from our Merchant Navy who died in the wars.  I was honoured to lay a wreath as MP for Newport East and do a reading alongside fellow Newport politicians. 

This is the 17^th year we’ve remembered those who did such a crucial job in conflict transporting supplies.  Well done to all those involved in the Newport Merchant Navy Association who organise this service each year so we never forget their sacrifice.
