A sad farewell this morning to John Forward. His funeral was held at St Mary’s Church, Undy.

John farmed in Monmouthshire for 70 years and since 1969 at Rockfield Farm. He was very popular and well known locally, not just for his devotion to farming and his love of the land, but for his spirit, kindness, gentleness, and humour. He also loved his rugby and politics and I shall miss our political discussions hugely.

John died aged 92 at the beginning of October. A wonderful human being and a life well spent. Love to Stephen, John and the family.
