Jessica attends SOLAS George Street opening event 07 June 2012

Jessica attended the opening of a unique and exciting service for highly vulnerable young people in Newport.  

This new facility will provide high quality supported accommodation for 8 young people aged 16+ who are experiencing challenges and difficulties in their lives. It offers them a safe place to stay within the community, to develop trusting and supportive relationships with their peers and Solas staff, all of which will enable them to hopefully achieve a degree of independence.

Jessica said “In the current economic climate, this facility will be needed more than ever. There are many young people who are struggling, but can turn their lives around only if they had the necessary support. This facility offers such support. That is why I pleased to be invited to its opening.”
