Newport Netballer meets Prime Minister at special No 10 Reception
Jemma Porter and her father Christopher met Prime Minister Gordon Brown inside Number 10 last week after she was selected by Jessica Morden MP for her high achievements in Netball.
Jemma, from Ringland, gained a place in Wales' Under 17 Netball squad at the age of 15 and has since been recognised as an extremely promising prospect for the future.
Jemma joined Jessica Morden MP for Newport East and many other high achieving young people from across the country at the reception.
Jessica Morden MP said "It was lovely to meet Jemma and her Father and for them to be able to visit Number 10 Downing Street, Jemma has a great talent of which Newport can be very proud, I am very pleased that her success has been recognised in this way and hope that she will go on to even greater sporting strengths in the coming years."
