The South Wales Argus reports...

Little Ifan was born in the early hours of Saturday morning at the Royal Gwent hospital, weighing 8lb 9oz.

He is a younger brother for Mali, 1, and a new son for Ms Morden and Sion Ffrancon-Jones.

Ifan was born at two minutes past midnight on Saturday, and Ms Morden left hospital to take him to their Maindee home that afternoon.

“I was very impressed with all the staff at the Gwent,” Ms Morden said. 2The care I was given on the ward was wonderful and the labour was short this time.”

Ifan has already found a favourite blanket and Mali is said to be “a bit bemused” but happy to have a new sibling.
