Jessica Morden, MP for Newport East, recently visited ATLAS Electronik UK limited, an electronics specialist company for maritime and naval systems based in Caldicot. Jessica was given a tour of the site, was shown the day-to-day workings of the company and met with the new batch of apprentices.

Jessica Morden said "This is the second local company I have visited recently who are providing highly skilled technical and engineering apprenticeships to young people in Newport East. I was very pleased to meet the new recruits, who are being taught skills that should provide them with a long and successful career. I wish to thank ATLAS Electonik for allowing me to visit; it is brilliant to see another company investing in our young people."
