Back the Ban
Don’t let the Tories bring back hunting. The Conservative Party have pledged that if they become the next Government they will hold a new vote in Parliament to reverse Labour’s ban on “Hunting with Dogs”. In a recent poll 75% of voters in Britain were in favour of keeping the ban and only 16% wanted to bring it back. Thanks to a Labour Government we have:- Banned fox hunting, hare coursing, hare hunting and stag hunting
- Banned fur farming and worked in Europe to ban imports of cat and dog fur into the EU
- Banned driftnet fishing which helps protect dolphins, turtles, sea birds and other animals
- Banned testing cosmetics, toiletries, alcohol and tobacco on animals
- Established the National Centre for the Replacement, Reduction and Refinement of Animals in Research which provides research into alternatives to animal testing,

To bring back hunting would be a step backwards. Hunting for sport is cruel and unnecessary. This world belongs to other species also, not wholly for the use and enjoyment of the human race, and it is time many remembered this.Marilu

You have my full support on this.Pete Wright
Thanks for providing this simple way of registering opinions on this matter. Please continue to support the bans on hunting and animal cruelty in general.

Labour worked so hard to get rid of this disgusting treatment of animals, dont let it come back including the badger cull.
Well done Jessica keep up the good work.

You forgot to mention the that a labour government will not allow vadger culling as a measure to control bTB - or do support culling?

Dear Jessica, my main reason for this e-mail is to ask if you and the Labour party are still commited to the best Animal Welfare policies that can be provided. Is the fox hunting ban still sacrosanct? This is my main concern when it comes to the choice of party. All the other things that we humans think are important can be resolved but animals must have a voice and that voice is ours spoken through our representative, Our MP. Many thanls .
