Notice of Scam alert from Neighbourwood Watch: Cloned bank cards 

Please be aware of a scam that has been reported to us.

Someone is phoning residents landlines claiming to be a police officer from London, explaining that they have arrested someone for cloning credit and debit cards

They then ask the resident to call the phone number on the back of their credit card but instead of connecting to the card provider, the call connects to another person claiming to be from the International Fraud Squad, who explains to the residents that their card has been cloned.

The first person then calls the resident back to arrange for a courier to go around to collect the ‘cloned’ card.

If you receive any calls similar to this, please DO NOT give out your details and NEVER give your PIN to anyone.
