Ramblers Cymru launched their “Wales for Walking” campaign today, to make Wales the greatest country in the world for walkers.

They want Welsh communities to be connected by fantastic footpaths and for walkers to be able to wander off track and explore all natural landscapes like forests and rivers, mountains and valleys.

Walking can play a huge part in helping people to get fit and healthy, reducing the numbers of journeys made by car and improve a person’s connection to their own community and understanding of the world around them. Unveiling places for people to walk in Wales will help achieve this. 

The Welsh Government are set to publish a green paper on the future of access to the Welsh outdoors. Ramblers Cymry hope that they take this amazing opportunity to make Wales the envy of the walking world.
