Currently Mayberry Pharmacy, which is one of SE Wales’ largest chain of chemists, has a branch on Caerleon Road. This pharmacy moved to its news premises on 103 Durham Road (opposite the St Julians Medical Centre) on March 31

This new state-of-the-art pharmacy will provide easier and more convenient ways for people living in St Julians to access the free services available within pharmacy including blood pressure checks, help with weight loss and stopping smoking, advice on diabetes, and help understanding their medicines. It will also make it easier for people living in this particular part of the ward where there currently isn’t a pharmacy in the immediate vicinity of the GP surgery to take their prescriptions too. With many residents in this area being above the age of 65, this new pharmacy will give them a much more accessible and convenient way to get their medicines. The pharmacy will also boast three consultation rooms which will offer services such as chiropody, physiotherapy, and free hearing tests. The launch event took place on March 31st and Jessica was delighted to see the pharmacy’ facilities.
