This morning I took part in a debate tabled by fellow Gwent MP Chris Evans on the important issue of copycat websites.

Copycat websites are often returned when you search online for Government websites, for example, to renew your driving licence, apply for a passport or a European Health Card. They can look like official websites but often charge you for Government services which are free or charge inflated prices.

A number of constituents have been in touch over the last year to complain as they were angry they felt they had been misled.  This morning was a chance to raise constituents’ cases and to press the Government for more action.

You can read today’s debate here and if you are unsure about whether or not a website you are using is official then please check www.gov.uk
