Holocaust Memorial Trust launch 2016 school resources

I was honoured to welcome local resident Renate Collins to Parliament for an event that I co-hosted.  Renate was one of the last children to come to the UK on the Kindertransport. The event saw Holocaust survivors, genocide survivors and MPs brought together to helped to launch free resources for Holocaust Memorial Day 2016 holocaustmemorialcollage.jpg

Each year the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust selects a theme and creates resources around which the Holocaust Memorial Day activities can focus. Next year’s theme will be Don’t stand by, exploring the role of bystanders during the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution and subsequent genocides, and taking inspiration from those who chose not to stand by.
