Thank you to all those who organised the Mosque Open Day at Jamia Mosque on Sunday. It was good to visit with John Griffiths AM for Newport East, Dame Rosemary Butler AM and Jayne Bryant, Labour Candidate for Newport West in the upcoming Assembly elections.
The initiative is designed to break down barriers and strengthen community relationships. People were welcomed into the mosque to meet members of the Muslim community, to learn what takes place at mosques and ask any questions they had.
