It was a pleasure to attend the Newport RFC Hall of Fame Dinner over the weekend alongside Newport East AM John Griffiths and Newport West AM Jayne Bryant.

The eight Hall of Fame inductees were Roger Bidgood, Gordon Britton, Sven Cronk, Ken Davies, Tom England, Del Haines, Jerry Shea and Geoff Whitson.

The passion for Newport RFC was clear to see from all those who attended, including the former players and the families of those attending on behalf of inductees who are no longer with us. Thank you to the Friends of Newport Rugby Trust for a great evening, and for everything they do for the club.
