I was pleased to join fellow Gwent MP Chris Evans, Member of Parliament for Islwyn, to show support for the Royal British Legion’s work in Wales during a parliamentary reception this week.

Chris and I met with Welsh veteran and Royal British Legion volunteer Chris Headon, who spoke about the way the Legion had supported him following his service in Northern Ireland.

It was good to meet with the British Legion to discuss the support they provide to service personnel, veterans and their families in communities across Wales. The Legion, including local branches like Caldicot and Newport in my constituency, play a crucial role in ensuring that public bodies and society at large recognises the dedication and sacrifice of those who served in our armed forces.
