Some significant news today.

I received the email below directly from AstraZeneca about the Avara Avlon site.

Following significant pressure from employees, and Unite, I know just how much this announcement will mean to staff who have feared the worst through this whole process since the company collapsed. I’m delighted AstraZeneca have stepped up to the mark on this, but it does show, as I recently raised in Parliament, that there is a need for further protections for staff during and following the sale of companies.
