At Business Questions today I pressed Jacob Rees-Mogg to update the Commons on when we will get the much-needed response from the DWP on the review into access to benefits for terminally ill people.

Speaking in Business Questions, I said “Please can we have an update on when the Government will respond to the review of access to benefits for the terminally ill? I know the Minister at the DWP has been receptive to the issues raised by the Motor Neurone Disease Association, Marie Curie and others, but we need action to change this unfair system as soon as possible.”

In response, the Leader of the House of Commons Jacob Rees-Mogg said “That is an important issue with which the House will have every sympathy. I will take it up with the Department and get an answer to the hon. Lady.”
