The Government should do the right thing & stop the planned £20 a week cut to Universal Credit due for April 2021. That equates to £1000 a year for the 8812 people receiving Universal Credit in Newport East. This is money that enables families to put food on the table.
Now more than ever we need to support each other, and the Conservatives should not be asking the poorest households to shoulder the burden.
