In Cabinet Office Questions this morning I highlighted that bereaved parents who lost children to the #ContaminatedBlood scandal – like my constituents the Smiths whose son Colin died after receiving infected blood products from an American prison – should be included in future compensation schemes. I look forward to meeting with the minister to discuss this further. It’s time that the tragedy and injustice faced by families like the Smiths is finally acknowledged and addressed.
