Many constituents have been in touch with me over the last fortnight to raise the dreadful situation in Afghanistan, including those who have loved ones stranded in Kabul. Whilst I am grateful for the work of UK Government officials and workers on the ground who worked hard under huge pressures to facilitate emergency flights, it is devastating that so many individuals and families have been left behind and now remain in a state of fear and uncertainty. Please be assured that my team and I will continue to do all I can to lobby the government on behalf of the families of constituents affected.
