Parliament returned from recess this week so here’s a quick overview of my work on behalf of #NewportEast constituents: ⤵️

💬 Questioned the Prime Minister on behalf of Afghan interpreters who have settled in Newport East

🌹 Continued to serve as a senior opposition whip for the Labour Party

🗳 Was a Labour teller for the votes against the national insurance increase and the Elections Bill

📝 Took up a number of constituent’s problems directly with UK Government ministers on issues such as Universal Credit, food poverty, and the health and social care levy

 ☕️ Supported Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Largest Coffee Morning event

📈 Met with Monmouthshire councillors to discuss Caldicot’s levelling up bid which I’m backing

 🦆 Attended the launch of RSPB’s Strategy to 2030 report in Parliament today and discussed the fantastic RSPB Newport Wetlands

⚽️ Attended Fair Game’s virtual Vision Launch. Newport County AFC is a founding member of Fair Game which supports a sustainable, community-oriented future for football

💻 Met virtually with Newport Young Labour
