NFU #BackBritishFarmingDay

Earlier today I met with the National Farmers’ Union (NFU) to show my support for farmers in Newport East on #BackBritishFarmingDay.
Our local farmers have gone above and beyond during the pandemic to keep food on our plates and they deserve a government that supports them all year round.
 
I’ll continue to call on the UK Government to keep their manifesto promise not to compromise on our high environmental protection, animal welfare and food standards in any trade deals.
