Jessica Morden MP Labour MP for Newport East
Yesterday I voted for The Labour Party’s Opposition Day motions which called for:
- The UK Government to cancel the cut to Universal Credit that would leave low earners and working families in #NewportEast more than £1000 a year worse off.
- An inquiry into the UK Government’s handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan to understand why interpreters and their families, who played a vital role in supporting our armed forces, were left behind despite the government promising for years to resettle them.
