Business Questions – ARAP and Settlement Scheme Delays

🇦🇫 In today’s Business Questions I asked the government about the delays Afghan interpreters and their families are facing to get their biometric residence permits.
 
The delays mean that the family members of those who have played an invaluable role in supporting our armed forces are stuck facing months in bridging hotels as local authorities are unable to get answers surrounding if there will be enough funding to house them.
 
I’ll continue calling on ministers to take action quickly to rectify the issues Newport East constituents are facing with ARAP and other resettlement schemes.
