Last week, I took the opportunity to speak at the Westminster Hall Debate on Energy Intensive Industries.

The steel industry in Newport East is a vital part of the area’s infrastructure, providing good jobs for over a century now. I wanted raise the concerns of steel workers in the constituency who urgently need the UK Government to take action against eye-watering energy prices, which continue to rise and are holding back our steel sector.
