This afternoon, I had the pleasure of responding on behalf of the Opposition in the Pre-recess Adjournment Debate. It was tinged with sadness as we reflected on the loss of Sir David Amess – who was a regular and passionate contributor to these debates – but also an important opportunity to recognise the hard work that’s happening in Newport East. Raven House Trust, Caldicot Food Bank and Feed Newport have all done incredible work supporting people this year – as have all of the incredible team at Aneurin Bevan Health Board, and it was great to be able to recognise this in the House and to share the appreciation I, and so many, share for all of them.
