It was good to see representatives from local government in Newport, including council leader Jane Mudd, at this week’s Western Gateway APPG reception. In the meeting, which was chaired by Baroness Wilcox of Newport, we heard more about the Severn Edge bid to design and construct the UK’s 1st prototype fusion energy plant, with the potential to create 31,000 jobs in South Wales and the West of England.
