Today at Prime Minister’s Questions, I asked the current Prime Minister what the plan was for steel. Right now, this government seems to be sitting on its hands, watching as the industry suffers due to the impact of the government’s penchant for cheap imports and rising energy prices.

There cannot be a fair, green transition to Net Zero in the UK without British Steel, and it’s about time this government woke up and started supporting out industry.
