It was brilliant to welcome Steelworkers from Newport East to Parliament yesterday as part of a rally of steel unions who are imploring the government to back British steelmaking before it’s too late.

I had the pleasure of introducing Llanwern-based steelworker Reg Gutteridge to Keir Starmer, where they both chatted about Labour’s pledge to back British steel should the party be elected to government at the next General Election.
