Achieving closure around the events of 8th June 1982 is incredibly important to survivors of the attack on the Sir Galahad ship during the Falklands War such as Newport East veteran Mike Hermanis, and the families of those who were lost.

This summer I wrote to the Secretary of State asking for further consideration to be given to releasing documents about the events of that today that can provide that closure.

And yesterday I pressed the minister again to ask him to meet with Mike, and others, to progress this matter.
