Members of the Sudanese community in Newport have spoken to me about the conflict in Sudan and their worries for family members in the country. On their behalf, in the chamber yesterday, I asked the minister for reassurances that the conflict and famine isn’t going unnoticed by the government and that all was being done to get aid to where it needs to be.
