Today in Parliament, I presented a 10-Minute Rule Bill to the House of Commons.
The Bill asks that the Secretary of State commissions and publishes a review of the legislation and guidance relating to e-scooters; places a duty on the Secretary of State to promote public awareness of legislation concerning the use of e-scooters; and for related purposes.
Having heard from constituents from right across Newport East, it’s clear that whether you love or loathe e-scooters, legislation is required to ensure the safe use of them and more information needs to be provided upon purchase.
