Later this spring, the government will introduce a new Crime and Policing Bill to Parliament.
The Bill aims to enhance public safety by granting police forces additional powers to address various criminal activities. Key provisions of the Bill are set to include, amongst other measures:
- Tackling knife crime and violent offences
- Addressing antisocial behaviour and drug-related crimes
- Protecting retail workers
- Tackling the illegal use of quad bikes and e-bikes
Today, I am launching a new resident survey to hear your priorities and concerns regarding crime and antisocial behaviour in Newport East. This will help me best represent you and share your views in Parliament. Tap here to take part.
