Today, Jayne and I visited the new Royal Victoria Court development in Pill to hear more from the developers about this brilliant scheme.

Tirion Homes in partnership with Lovell and Welsh Government is transforming the former Whiteheads Steelworks into a vibrant new community. Consisting of 528 homes, the development includes one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom homes, with a mix of 264 homes for sale with Lovell Homes and 234 affordable homes for rent with Tirion Homes and an additional 30 homes for low cost home ownership through Melin Homes.

The whole development has been thoughtfully built and the houses are spacious and well-finished.

Properties to purchase on the site also for the criteria for Help to Buy Wales, which allows residents to buy a home with just a 5% deposit, with the Welsh Government supporting further support to make the purchase viable.

This scheme is unique to Wales and is run solely by the Welsh Government, giving families and individuals the help they need to get on the housing ladder.
