🔴Last night I voted against the government’s flawed #TradeBill, and in favour of Labour’s amendment to ensure that future trade deals protect our NHS, workers’ rights, food & environmental standards.🏥👷♀️🍽🌳
Unfortunately our amendment – which would also pushed for proper parliamentary scrutiny of future trade agreements – was defeated by the Government.
⏩We will now wait for the Trade Bill to return to parliament for its Committee Stage.
