Jessica Morden MP Labour MP for Newport East
Yesterday, The Prince of Wales delivered The Queen’s Speech to MPs and Peers in the House of Lords.
Ahead of it, I was hopeful that we would see more support for struggling families, a proper commitment to levelling up rail in Wales – particularly in Newport East, some more solid commitments on policing and some firming up of the detail around the adoption of the recommendations of the Crouch report.
Instead, we saw little to no hope for families that need more government support RIGHT NOW, nothing firm on levelling up rail infrastructure in Wales and, well, a Queen’s Speech written purely to shore up a listing PM.
