Yesterday, on behalf of constituents, I took part in a Westminster Hall Debate about the earthquakes that have happened in Türkiye in Syria and the aftermath of them – what happens next? I asked questions that constituents who are concerned about lone elderly and orphaned family members have asked of me, and reiterated my support for the region. It also gave me a chance to recognise the amazing work of primary schools in the constituency – particularly Maindee Primary – who have co-ordinated efforts to collect aid for survivors of the disaster.
